Exceptional Children and K-12 Projects

Ohio School Leaders
This project works with school principals and other leaders to help ensure that all students meet academic standards. Innovative data management tools and resources that highlight best practices are disseminated through training and technical assistance and through an online community of practice.
Florida Exceptional Student Education Process
This three-year project is developing an online data entry and reporting process that will allow all Florida school districts to manage their students' educational planning process for exceptional students. Training and online tutorial systems are under development, and systems to integrate the planning process with the state's student information system will be implemented.
Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities (OCECD)
The Ohio Coalition contracted with CSNP to develop and host their web site, which showcases the Coalition's advocacy work and their Parent Training Projects. The site includes content management features that organize resources by topic and disability, a conference registration system, and a calendar of events.

Early Childhood Projects

Early Childhood Quality Network (Q-Net)
CSNP staff and consultants contract with a variety of local, state, and federal agencies to provide technical assistance and professional development services for early childhood programs. The Q-net web portal offers a free news service and disseminates resource information to staff and management serving Head Start, child care, preschool special education, and related communities of interest.
Early Literacy Initiative Technical Assistance Project
This project assists Ohio's Office of Early Learning and School Readiness (OEL&SR) by providing direct technical assistance to local providers in the implementation the Early Learning Initiative and the Kindergarten Student Intervention program. A network of consultants will provide the technical assistance for these two statewide programs.
Ohio Early Learning Content Standards (OELCS)
Statewide early learning content professional development opportunities in order to develop participants' ability to support children's learning through intentional teaching guided by the Ohio early learning content standards.
Ohio Parent Information Network (OH-PIN)
The OH-PIN project, funded by the Head Start State Collaboration Office, coordinates eight partner agencies that contribute essential information for Ohio parents on early education and care issues. A web portal captures information and disseminates this information from each of the partner agencies.
State Institutes for Reading Instruction (SIRI)
Statewide professional development opportunities to build participants' capacity (knowledge base/skills) around critical components of early literacy concepts and skills. Participants will develop the ability to support children's learning through intentional teaching strategies designed to support children's successful language and literacy learning and development, as well as integrate delivery of early literacy content with Ohio Early Learning Content Standards and the Preschool Core Curriculum.
Technology Helping Educators Consortium (1999–2002)
THE Consortium project developed a model program designed to improve the quality of early childhood teacher education programs by enhancing Head Start teachers' academic opportunities through increased exposure to and use of technology in authentic and culturally relevant contexts. The archived web site disseminates the model and useful resources contributed by six partner agencies.
